The TVR marque has become something of a legend in recent years. Since ceasing production in 2007,the brand has been linked with numerous piston head rumours and the former TVR management team; Russian billionaires; two American businessmen wanting to start production in Orlando of 5,000 units per annum and TVR’s former managing director, David Oxley.

When it comes to talking about individual models I am in my element, and can wax lyrical about their specifications and characteristic sauciness.
The word that best sums up TVR’s famous Chimaera is…….effortless. Propelled by the legendary TVR Power, a development of the Rover V8,its 4.5 litre [285bhp] engine can take this beauty from 0 to 60mph in 4.7 seconds and propel you from 0 to 100mph in 11.2 seconds. With a top speed of 160 mph you might not be in the quickest car on the road, but you WILL know you’re driving a fun car. Its big bore stainless steel exhaust system emanates an awesome V8 sound and it is optimised for maximum performance.
Aesthetically, the Chimaera is a beautiful design enhanced by 15 inch front and 16 inch rear alloys. One look into the cockpit spells………..seduction on sight. A 350mm leather covered steering wheel is mounted on an adjustable column: everything about the dash design and instrument panel tells you, ‘I’m British and proud of the fact.’
TVR’s Tamara is a fully convertible, 2 seated, 3.6 litres straight 6, rear wheel drive sports car for the fun-loving motorist. Accelerating from 0 to 60mph in 4.4 seconds, it can reach 100mph in 9.5 seconds and 175mph as a top speed. The TVR’s Tamora has got the power and pace to entertain, and exhilarate sports car enthusiasts.
Specifications include ambient air temperature, alarm and engine immobiliser, remote window closing, CD/radio with removable face, and the usual bag of goodies like stainless steel exhaust,16 inch alloys [or Anthracite or Silver] wheels and refined finishing throughout.

How can I NOT get excited when mentioning TVR’s Tuscan?
In one word……….temptation.

The Tuscan exhibits 18 inch alloys and looks a beast of a babe to handle, but she drives like a dream. From the moment you feast your eyes along the front of her plunging bonnet and towards her seductive eyes,[gas discharge headlights on full beam],your heart will start racing in unison with her 390bhp engine.
Everything about the Tuscan S says simplistic design meets great British engineering: within the interior her machined aluminium trim finish offsets the cockpit interior and innovative steering wheel design like a profound British axiom……..She’s cool. It speaks to you saying………’Drive me for all I’m worth and enjoy the climax at 195mph plus.’
How can anyone resist her pulsating charm and power?
TVR’s prestigious portfolio of classic sports cars and coupes would not be complete without the T350, 2 seat, 3.6 litre straight 6, with rear wheel drive. Its compact good looks are beguiling, and must not deceive motorists as she packs an incredibly responsive performance punch. Any sports animal reaching 60 mph from a standing start in 4.4 seconds is a T350 tiger waiting to be tamed.
