Sale and Goal Setting – The Biggest Mind Games in Top Home Based Franchises & How to Overcome Them

Goal setting; sales 101 plain and simple, right? However, it really isn’t that plain and simple is it? Have you set your detailed goals for the day, the week, the month and your year both personally and for the success of your home based franchise?

Goal setting is critically important to the success of your home based franchise. Without goals…you do not have an exact plan of where you are going, you do not have an exact plan of how you are going to get there and you will not know when or if you have ever arrived.

Now, there are a few things that I would like to share with you about goal setting to make them effective and to make sure that you actually realize the success of your home based franchise.

First…do not be concerned about setting your goals too high. One of my goals is to make at least 100K per month in my personal home based franchise. No, I’m not there yet, but making 15- 25K isn’t so bad is it? Do you think that I would be making 15-25K if my goal was to make 8K? Probably not.

Are you going to stumble, have set backs and temporary challenges along the way? Probably…most people do. Remember, as you are confronted with challenges and obstacles, have your eyes and heart wide open because these challenges and obstacles as we see them on the surface are our opportunities in disguise. When I finally caught on to just that one fact…my life and my success in my home based franchise changed almost overnight.

Remember when I wrote about the dangling carrots in lesson five? It is just the same here. Make your goals large enough so there is always a reason for you to want to do better than yesterday. Make one more call, right one more tweet or produce one more video for your home based franchise before you call it a day. If you continue to increase your activity by doing just one extra action each day…your goals will be met in record time.

I haven’t talked about this in a while…but to be in the top 5 % of income earners…all that is required for you to do is 5% more activity on a daily basis. It sounds so simple and easy to do, doesn’t it? Can I tell you that most people will never do that 5 % more and therefore will never experience being in the top 5% of all income earners in their home based franchise. Where do you want to be? What are your ultimate goals?

Finally, one more bit of advice…as you write down and then announce your goals to the world, realize that once you have succeeded and have met your goals…don’t stop. Continue to make new and exciting goals for yourself. Never stop being the best that you can be every day of your life.

Make your goals, write them down, look at them at least three times a day, say your goals out loud as often as you can and then take immediate action to the steps you will need to take in achieving all of your goals.

Once you take these steps, make them a habit…I will then see you at the top of your home based franchise in your specific industry.
